Juan Felipe has been an Assistant Professor of Economics at Georgetown University since 2023. Before joining Georgetown, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the King Center on Global Development at Stanford University from 2022 to 2023.
He received his Ph.D. in Economics from the University of British Columbia in 2022 and holds MA, BA, and B.Sc. degrees in Economics and Industrial Engineering from Universidad de los Andes .
He is currently a fellow with The United Programs for Political Economy Research (UPPER ) and Co-director of the undergraduate PECO major at Georgetown.
His research focuses on Political Economy, Development Economics, and Economic History.
