In partnership with Well Told Story, Junior Achievement Kenya, and Digital Divide Data, and with the support of The World Bank Russian Trust Fund for Financial Literacy and Education, we assess the impact of alternative communications strategies for improving financial capabilities amongst Kenyan youth. Working in over 200 high schools across Kenya, we evaluate the impacts of a standard classroom-based financial education program and an innovative approach using a widely read comic book targeted at 14-25 year olds. We randomize treatments across schools, including a placebo (in which comic books without financial educational content are provided) and a control.
