Nichodemus Amollo is a Data Analyst with gui²de East Africa, where he applies integrity, analytical rigor, and a collaborative spirit to every assignment. At gui²de, he supports the Kenya HealthFin Diaries project in partnership with FSD Kenya, a longitudinal study that follows household healthcare spending and decision-making across six regions. His work helps uncover how ordinary Kenyans seek and finance care, revealing the realities of out-of-pocket costs, missed treatments, and the ways financial tools can improve access to health services.
Before joining gui²de, Nichodemus served as a Data Analyst at KEMRI, contributing to the YIA Oncology longitudinal study, and as Research Data Manager for the VLIR-UOS/JOOUST SP3 initiative. He has also partnered with NGOs, development agencies, and private sector teams on projects ranging from forecasting models and digital dashboards to evidence briefs and training workshops. His experience includes designing and managing data systems, conducting fieldwork, and mentoring research teams to ensure data is both reliable and actionable.
Nichodemus’s approach is rooted in the belief that data should serve people. He is passionate about making research findings accessible and relevant, whether he is building models, training young analysts, or sharing insights with stakeholders. Away from his desk, he enjoys volunteering with youth programs, staying active in the gym or on mountain trails, and returning to his village to herd goats at the foot of Homa Hills—a place that reminds him of the value of patience, observation, and steady progress.
For Nichodemus, every dataset represents a story and an opportunity to create positive change. He is committed to using data not just to inform, but to empower communities and support decisions that improve lives.
