Intuit, a global technology company headquartered in Mountain View, California, is a leading provider of business and financial management solutions for small and mid-sized businesses. gui²de faculty, along with its other partners, are conducting an independent study of the economic impact of mobile solutions on farmers' livelihoods in the Indian state of Karnataka, and are specifically examining the socio-economic impact of Intuit's Fasal offering that provides real-time market price information to farmers via SMS.
Changamka MicroHealth Ltd is a healthcare finance company that uses mobile and other smart technology to facilitate savings, insurance, and payments for health care services. gui²de is partnering with Changamka on two maternal health projects - one in Nairobi to encourage savings during pregnancy, and the other to deliver m-vouchers to poor women in Western Kenya.
MDI is an Open Data portal for the developing world mobile industry. We believe that open access to high quality data will improve business decision making, increase total investment from both the commercial mobile industry and the development sector and accelerate economic, environmental and social impact from mobile solutions.
Twaweza is a citizen-centered initiative that seeks to foster accountability by strengthening citizen agency through information. gui²de's two year partnership with Twaweza will focus on evaluating the impact of interventions and policies in East Africa aimed at empowering people to make change happen and to hold governments.
The Association for Safe International Road Travel, and it's Kenyan branch ASIRT-Kenya, promotes road safety through education, advocacy, and targeted projects and campaigns. ASIRT continues its partnership with gui²de as we scale-up and adopt our "Heckle and Chide" and "Zusha" projects in new environments.
The Global Partnership for Social Accountability is a global multi-stakeholder coalition of World Bank member countries that aims to increase levels of social accountability at the country level. The GPSA provides strategic and sustained support to beneficiary groups and civil society organizations (CSOs) in developing countries that are working with their governments, to promote greater transparency and accountability. gui²de joins GPSA as a global partner in working to understand the effectiveness of different types of accountability mechanisms, and to help to improve these over time.
