Research Intern in Kampala, Uganda

The Georgetown University Initiative on Innovation, Evaluation, and Development (gui2de) is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Research Intern to work on research projects in development economics, political economy and trade in Uganda. This is an opportunity to gain field research experience in development economics and trade, including experience managing big administrative data and potentially a randomized control trial. You will also acquire management and analytical skills in this role. The position will require significant commitment and long hours in an exciting though challenging setting, interacting daily with several public officials in government. This Independent Consultant position is a 12-month role and is based in Kampala, Uganda. You will chiefly report to Michael Best (Columbia University), Nada Eissa (Georgetown University) and Sandra Sequeira (London School of Economics) and other collaborators.
