The Washington Area Development Economics Symposium (WADES) is a forum that brings together cutting edge development economics research from leading economic institutions in the Washington D.C. area. Faculty and graduate students from local universities have the opportunity to present and discuss their recent research at an annual one-day conference. Researchers from Georgetown University, George Washington University, University of Maryland, University of Virginia and the World Bank are all participants in the symposium.
This year’s conference is hosted by the Georgetown University Initiative on Innovation, Development, and Evaluation on Friday, April 24. The symposium will be held on the Georgetown campus, located at 3700 O Street, NW.
