gui2de's staff and interns are at the core of our work, supporting our work at home and abroad.
gui2de engages students in rigorous research, analysis and evaluation during term time as research assistants, as well as outside of term time in the field. Students involved in fieldwork undertake a variety of different tasks from troubleshooting issues between the office and the field, designing surveys, training enumerators, providing logistical support to field teams, and working with local partners to implement our projects.
Development Incubator Class
gui2de's co-directors have just introduced a new course to engage students in empirical research and innovation in development economics and impact evaluation. Students learn about experimental methods of impact evaluation, project management, survey design and implementation, and data analysis, and work in small teams to design innovative solutions to development challenges that could later be tested in the field.
